Data Room Fire Suppression Upgrade

Installation of two clean agent fire suppression systems in critical data rooms at Boise State University. These systems extinguish fires without water and are used to protect areas where water would cause as much damage as the fire itself. The process starts with sealing the room. A blower door pressure test confirms the room holds pressure as the chemical agent has to stay concentrated in the space to work. When smoke is detected, dampers seal the ductwork, the building fire alarm is triggered, a countdown starts and the agent floods the room choking out the fire.
